4f4fd4c3fe ipx's main.rs splits into leaf modules (#356)
main.rs held 3,200 lines: the command line, the shared context, the
daemon, scans, downloads, the catalogue and OPML, and their tests. The
style guide keeps a root module to declarations and a little glue, the
code in leaf modules named for what they hold:

cli.rs the commands, run and user_cmd, ago and duration
ctx.rs Ctx and CfgEdit, and Ctx::new, which main() built inline
daemon.rs the daemon's loop, web server, shutdown, status, reload
  scan.rs due_at/due_after, scan_one, policy, downloads, torrents
  catalogue.rs add/rm/leave/remove_user, subscriptions, retiring lists
lists.rs OPML import and syncing an OPML's or a creator's feeds
(not opml.rs, which would shadow the opml crate)
logging.rs logging::init and the JSON lines with their trace
test_util.rs the context, feeds and feed server tests share

first_password moves to auth.rs and reap to retention.rs. Each test went
with what it tests; all 151 still run. main.rs is the module list and a
main() that hands the command on, 113 lines.

Moved verbatim, then made pub(crate) where a sibling calls it, with
calls across modules written module::function as the guide asks.
Everything the old main.rs defined is defined once in the new files.

With Ctx no longer a pub type at the crate root, Db's pub methods stop
counting as public API, and the compiler sees what nothing outside tests
calls: entries_in, count_in, unread_count and feed_description are now
#[cfg(test)], and media_feeds, called by nothing, is gone.

ipx depends on opentelemetry_sdk directly now (it was already in the
lock through ipx-directory), for logging::init's signature.

70990c70c7 Signals: feeds made from your subscriptions, picked by Jev (#254)
A Signal is a name and keywords. A task beside DeadAir's asks TypeSafe's Jev, on the owner's own
key, about each item of their subscribed feeds from the last 30 days and every new one: one call
an item, one noul question for each of their Signals still to hear about it, 0.5 or more a fit.
Every verdict is kept, fitting or not, in signal_verdicts, so nothing is asked twice, and new
keywords drop a Signal's verdicts to be judged afresh. A key TypeSafe refuses (401/402/403) is
passed over until its owner saves another, so a bad key is not sent the whole queue.

A Signal's items come through entries_where with an EXISTS on its hits, so filters, search, sort
and read state are an ordinary list's, and reading an item in a Signal reads it in its feed.

The page shows Signals under the places, with New signal, and Settings takes the TypeSafe key,
which is never sent back. The browser suite stubs Jev in the fixture server (IPX_TYPESAFE_URL).

8f19d88fc9 Compressed answers, a directory twice as patient, fewer whole re-reads (#239, #242, #243, #244)
Measured on 2026-10-15: the feed list and item lists went out uncompressed at over 100 KB; ipx
read 2.6 GB of feed bodies a day and the directory 3.9 GB.

- ipx-web compresses with zstd or gzip, leaving out /api/events, which a compressor would hold
  back, and /media (#239).
- A body identical to the last one (SHA-256 in feeds.body_hash) is taken as a 304, unless
something is missing a read would fill or the check is forced; and a feed without a schedule
of its own whose body has been the same waits a twelfth of that, up to four hours, beside the
failure backoff (#242). 35 Patreon show feeds sent ~300 KB each hourly, about 250 MB a day.
- The directory checks each feed every twelve hours, not six (#243).
- reqwest accepts brotli and zstd too (#244).

#240 (cache the feed list's counts) is left open: at production's size on the test Postgres
that count takes 12 ms and All Subscriptions 32 ms, against 366 and 300 ms in production, so
the cause is production's database, not the query (#241).

954399ed5d Administer the directory from iPX with an rwa token (#206)
A Directory feed's page offers Check now and Remove to an admin whose token is rwa (the page
learns it from can_admin on the feed's page, asked of the directory only for admins). Admin,
Directory lists the servers sharing, from a new GET /v1/instances, and the blocked feeds by
title: a feed is often blocked because its address carries a key, so the address stays in the
directory. Unblocking or dropping a snapshot sends this server's snapshot again at once; since
directory's 403 reaches the page as 403, not 502.

10a78efcc3 docs: the three services, their versions and traces (#207, #213)
architecture.md opens on the three services, how a trace crosses them, and the directory's
modules; sso.md's diagram and config show ipx-web in front, trusting Caddy and passing headers
only from TUNNEL_PEER; configuration.md has ipx-web's variables and the Directory as the
service's; cli.md and users.md stop describing the old local Directory; directory.md has its
traces and version.

f9870938bf ipx-web: the page in its own container, behind Caddy (#203)
web/build.mjs builds a static site, web/dist, with the icons and typeface
beside the pages; Dockerfile.web serves it with Caddy, which passes /api
and /media to ipx on the same origin, so cookies, live updates and
Cloudflare Access work as before. ipx serves no page any more: build.rs
and every include_str! of the web files are gone, and its image is built
without node.

What ipx did to the page as it served it is kept another way. Caddy asks
ipx before serving a page (forward_auth): /api/page-check sends a browser
not signed in to /login and a non-admin away from /admin, and refuses them
/admin.js; /api/login-check sends someone Access vouches for past the
form; a page asked for with ?token= goes to /api/signin, which sets the
cookie. The theme and the admin link, once written into the page per
person, are set by web/boot.js in <head> from the theme cookie and the
last visit, before the first frame, and /api/me brings the version and
the account's theme from before.

Caddy strips the Cf-Access-* headers from every peer but TUNNEL_PEER, the
address cloudflared's requests come from, which is the boundary
trusted_proxies drew; ipx then trusts only Caddy's address.

The browser suite runs Caddy in front of its daemon, so it tests what
production would run. Not deployed: production's cutover is on #203.

c47aa57909 The Directory comes from the directory service (#205)
ipx asks ipx-directory on its people's behalf, with the token an admin set
in the new Admin, Directory tab, so the page never talks to it and never
sees the token or a feed's address. /api/directory, /api/popular and a
feed's Directory page answer from it; subscribing takes the address from
the directory and goes through Add feed's steps. With no directory set
up, the Directory says so. The local directory code is gone; its privacy
checks are the snapshot builder's now, and their tests moved with them.

With sharing on, ipx sends its snapshot after every scan, whenever the
config changes (set_cfg) and every half hour: each public feed and how
many here subscribe, never an OPML or Patreon creator itself or anything
private. A feed can be marked private in its settings, for a paid feed
whose address does not give it away; anyone subscribed may mark it, only
an admin unmark it. The admin's category for a feed that names none goes
with it, which the directory uses only while the feed names none, so the
category an admin gives a blog still reaches the Directory.

The directory lists only feeds it has read as a feed: the first snapshot
after a start went before the first scan, when an OPML was not yet known
to be one, and the directory listed the OPML. It now fetches what a
snapshot brings in at once instead of within the minute.

The browser suite runs its own ipx-directory on SQLite; the Directory's
tests match feeds by title, since the directory names them by address.

83bda97cce ipx-directory: the directory of public podcasts ipx servers share (#204)
A new crate and service, crates/directory, live at ipx-dir.sdf1.net. ipx
servers send the public feeds their people subscribe to (POST /v1/snapshot,
replacing what that token sent before); the directory fetches each feed's
title, artwork, category, description and latest twenty items every six
hours with ipx-feed, and lists them A to Z and by subscribers summed over
every server. It holds metadata only, never a file or a file's address.

Tokens are in its config file as SHA-256 hashes, each ro, rw or rwa, and
the file is read again within a minute of a change, so adding and revoking
one is an edit and nothing else; a revoked token takes its server's counts.
At first they were to come from environment variables, which would have
meant recreating the container to add one. A file that does not load keeps
the tokens as they were.

Every address sent is checked with ipx_feed::url_looks_private, the check
ipx makes before sending, so one server's miss does not publish a paid feed
to every other; an rwa token can remove and block what both miss.

Deployed: ipx-directory in the ipx Arcane project, database ipx_directory
(its own login) on the databases project's Postgres, which db-backup
already covers, and a tunnel route with no Access in front. The store's
tests run on Postgres as well as SQLite when IPX_TEST_DATABASE_URL is set.

beded23530 Cargo workspace: crates/ipx and a shared crates/feed (#202)
The first step of the split (#207). The daemon moves to crates/ipx unchanged;
feed.rs becomes crates/feed (ipx-feed), which the directory service (#204)
will share for its metadata refresher and its privacy check.

To stand alone, fetch takes the feed's address and its credentials instead
of ipx's config::Feed (config::Feed::auth gives them), collect_outlines
moves in with the OPML parsing, and the address half of looks_private is
feed::url_looks_private. ipx imports the crate as `feed` at its root, so
every crate::feed path is unchanged. The version is the workspace's, in the
root Cargo.toml.

Checked: cargo test on Postgres (118 + 29), tsc, page smoke, native bridge,
contrast and Playwright (72) pass; the image built from the new Dockerfile
is deployed and healthy.

a44e2b4235 Bring the docs up to what changed: reload, corrections, flags, durability
An audit after 0.10.1 found the docs behind the code. architecture.md named no reload command
(#120) and still said a changed title was picked up, false since #96 until #141; it now says
what a scan writes again, and what the Directory page's endpoint sends (#142). cli.md lacked
add's --list and --category, and that add, rm and import tell a running daemon to read the
catalogue again. users.md did not mention Currently Listening or its search (#127).
configuration.md says that ipx no longer waits for the disk on each write, on SQLite or Postgres
(#135, #140), and what that can lose.

b43ba89778 Load tests with k6, for what many people at once do to the server (#133)
The browser tests drive one person against a handful of feeds, one request at a time, and cannot
show what production's load does. node tests/load/run.js builds a release binary, serves 1,500
generated feeds from itself, starts a daemon of its own under /tmp/ipx-load, seeds a hundred
listeners with thirty feeds each and four downloaded files, and runs four k6 scripts, with
`ipx status` -- the healthcheck -- run every second and failing the run at its 5s timeout:

browse 25 people at once: feed list, All Subscriptions, a feed, a search, the Directory,
             a feed's page in it
  listening  100 players saving positions every second and marking items read while scans write;
each reads its own state back, which must be as it left it
media 50 listeners seeking: every range checked byte for byte against the served file
signin a flood of wrong passwords while others browse, and the gap between refusing a
known name and an unknown one

Each budget is about twice what it measures now. Getting here found #135 (SQLite waiting for the
disk after every write, a first scan of 1,500 feeds estimated at 50 minutes, now 27s), #136
(SQLite's single connection, left open), #137 and #138 (fixed in the commit before this). k6 is
installed from its own signed apt repository by /src/install.sh, outside this repository.

ef8e2526f2 Show what a feed says it is on its page in the Directory (#130)
A feed's page in the Directory (#128) had its cover, category and latest items, but not the
feed's own description, which Apple's show page leads with: iPX read every item's description
and threw the channel's away, and the feeds table had nowhere to keep it.

It is parsed now, RSS's <description>, or iTunes' summary when that is empty, or Atom's
subtitle, kept in feeds.description (kept when a later read has none, as title and image are),
and sent, sanitized, with the items from /api/directory/{id}, which is now an object, not a
list. The page shows it as plain text under the header, three lines of it, with More when there
is more. A description that only repeats the title is left out.

feeds.description is the first column added to a table that already exists. create_missing
looks for it with a SELECT and runs the ALTER only when it is missing, since it runs on every
open, the healthcheck's included, and an ALTER's lock is what made that time out before. The
same once-only step forgets every feed's ETag and Last-Modified: a feed is read whole only when
it has changed, so its description would otherwise wait for its next item.

b86062b97a Keep a feed's items and files to the people who subscribe to it (#129)
Routes that take a feed or an enclosure id did not check who was asking. Anyone signed in could
read any feed's items through GET /api/feeds/{id}/entries, a paid feed's included, with the
addresses of its files, which can carry the subscriber's key: the Directory leaves such feeds
out for that reason, and this route handed them back to whoever guessed the id, a slug of the
title. In production it answered 25 items of a feed the asking account does not subscribe to.
/media/{id} served any downloaded file by its sequential id, POST /api/enclosures/{id}/download
and /api/feeds/{id}/download-latest queued any feed's downloads, and DELETE
/api/enclosures/{id}?force=true deleted any file.

Each now answers 404, "you do not subscribe to that feed", unless the person subscribes to it.
A feed inside an OPML has a subscription row of its own for everyone subscribed to the OPML, so
that holds for those feeds too. Found while adding the Directory's feed page (#128), which has
its own route that answers only for listed feeds and carries no files.

95acde3046 Lay the Directory out as Apple's is, with the most subscribed in it (#124, #126, #128)
The Directory was one grid of every listed feed, 1,472 in production, under Podcasts and Blogs
tabs, a wall of about 30 category buttons and a sort menu, with a picked category's
subcategories appearing as a second row of buttons that looked like the first. It read as a
list to scroll, and the two rows were hard to tell apart.

It opens now on the ten most subscribed feeds, ranked, and the categories as tiles, each with
three of its shows' covers fanned in its corner on the tint its initials would get, so the
shows colour it and no theme's palette changes. A category has a page of its own: its most
subscribed, its subcategories with how many each holds, and its grid. See all is every feed,
as the grid was. Podcasts or Blogs holds across every page. Popular, the ten most subscribed,
had a place of its own in the feed list; it is the Directory's first section instead, and its
key, g p, is gone. /api/popular stays for scripts.

The search box finds a feed in the Directory by name (#126). It said "Search items…" there and
did nothing, since loadEntries returns early for a place that lists feeds.

A feed you do not subscribe to opens a page of its own (#128): its cover, category (a link to
that category's page), how many here subscribe, a subscribe button and its latest twenty items,
each with its title, linking to the post where it has one, its first lines, date and length.
Before, a click on it did nothing; only its + did. The items come from GET /api/directory/{id},
which answers only for a feed the Directory lists, so a guessed id reaches nothing private, and
carries no file or its address. The feed's own description would belong at the top, but the
database does not keep one.

Every tile and chart row takes the keyboard, as the feed list's rows do. Feed text made plain
keeps a space at a line break or a paragraph's end, which glued "2010)Recorded" together.

9d1492b388 Hand playback to a native shell (#45)
CarPlay and Android Auto cannot render a web view. Both are template
surfaces, and the only audio they will control is the host's own AVPlayer
or ExoPlayer -- so an app that is "the web UI plus CarPlay" is really "the
web UI whose audio engine is native", and the page had no way to give
playback away.

web/src/native.ts replaces the playback surface of the page's media element
with one that forwards to the host and synthesises the events back. Nothing
in player.ts changes: it only ever speaks to the element, so the player bar,
the row buttons, the EQ bars and the keyboard shortcuts keep working as they
did. Video stays in the page, since CarPlay is audio-only and a native video
layer under a web view buys nothing. In a browser none of it installs.

Position and read are the host's to write. player.ts has been bitten before
by a stale position -- one left paused in another tab saved its older place
over where you had got to -- and a backgrounded web view is exactly that
tab: frozen, holding a time from minutes ago, while the host plays on. So
the beacon becomes a request for the host to save its own clock.

tests/native-bridge.js is what holds the two ends together, and it earned
its place immediately: the src setter called removeAttribute('src'), which
the shim's own override turned into a stop() that switched it back off one
line after enabling it. Silent, and only visible in a car. The stub DOM
moved to tests/dom-stub.js so that test and page-smoke share one harness
rather than two copies.

aeb686163b A separate admin page: server settings, accounts and the log
/admin, with Server, Accounts and Log sections chosen by the URL's hash. The
server sends the page and /admin.js to admins only (anyone else asking for the
page goes back to the app, and the script is 403), and removes the header's link
to it from everyone else's page rather than hiding it. The API keeps refusing
all of it to non-admins as before.

Settings becomes personal: theme, OPML import and export, and the schedule and
download folder to read. The server fields, the Users dialog and the Log dialog
move out of dialogs.ts into admin.ts.

The CSS moves out of index.html into web/app.css, which both pages load as
/app.css?v=<hash>, served immutable like the scripts. The smoke test checks both
pages.

Closes #19.

5483355021 Serve the script as /app.js, cached until a deploy changes it
The page loaded its script inline. It now names /app.js?v=<hash> (login.js for
the sign-in page), the hash of the script's contents: the script is served
immutable for a year and the page no-cache, so a browser fetches the script
again only when a deploy changes it and so its name.

Also fixes a race in the mark-everything-read test: it waited on a badge that
was seldom 0 to begin with, so a mark-unread still in flight could land after
the read-all.

26802d2b23 The page's script is TypeScript in web/src, built and minified with swc
- web/src/*.ts: the script that was inline in index.html and login.html, split along its
existing sections. Still one scope, concatenated in order, not modules.
- web/build.mjs strips the types, puts the script in the page and minifies it with swc;
  build.rs runs it into OUT_DIR and web.rs include_str!s the result. 137 KB -> 106 KB.
- npx tsc -p . type-checks web/src, loosely; the handful of annotations it needed
  change no behaviour.
- The Docker build installs node and swc (npm ci --omit=dev).
- Two list requests racing no longer let the older one win, and switching tabs clears
the selection it closes, which made a browser test flaky.

Closes #23, #24.

Feeds take their channel's first <itunes:category> into a new feeds.category
column; the migration drops ETag and Last-Modified once so every feed re-reads
on its normal schedule and picks one up. /api/popular and /api/directory carry
category and podcast (any audio or video enclosure). Directory becomes a grid of

categories once Podcasts is picked. Popular and Add a feed keep their rows.

The worker runs one job at a time, and status was one of its jobs, so the
Docker healthcheck waited behind the startup scan (54 seconds of it after

now answers status straight away; everything else still queues. A test
fills the queue and checks status comes back anyway.

Drops the created columns on users, subscriptions and sessions, which were

Works through TODO.md from the 2026-09-12 over-engineering audit. Drops the
entries.read/flagged/position columns (migrate() removes them from older
databases), migrate_opml_children, the legacy interval_mins key, the
contrib/ systemd units, test-only Db wrappers, a duplicate token generator,
redundant logbuf visitors, unused page state and CSS, and the infer, dirs
and tokio-stream dependencies. The icon is served once as /icon.png instead
of inlined four times, taking about 94 KB off the two pages.

The adoption's subscription half was not dead: it gives a fresh install's
first admin the config's feeds. It stays as adopt_catalogue, now tested.

0990f2a90d Design pass on the web UI: amber for new, EQ bars, keyboard feed list
Works through TODO.md from the 2026-09-11 review. Unread badges, dots and
download bars take the icon's amber; the playing item is marked by EQ bars
that move only while it plays. The feed list is usable from the keyboard,
focus rings show everywhere, and folders get a mosaic of their shows' art
with the triangle hung in the margin. Sentence-case labels, fewer bold
weights, tinted initials tiles, shorter header lines, "Kept" everywhere,
and the list gets the room the empty panes had. Reduced motion is honoured.

2e416f96cf Patreon creators split into their shows; filters follow settings
A Patreon token pasted into Add feed, or a creator link without
&show=, becomes a folder of that creator's shows, found through
Patreon's web API and kept in step like a subscribed OPML (sync_group,
split out of sync_opml). A creator already read as one feed is split
too: each show takes over the files and read state it held
(Db::adopt). A creator with one show stays a plain feed.

Filter verdicts are judged again every scan, so turning on Allow
explicit brings skipped items back. Add feed has an explicit box.
Feeds in a group follow your settings on the group, as its dialog
said. A new feed no longer takes the id of a removed one at a
different URL and shows its old items. See CHANGELOG.md [Unreleased]
and docs/history.md.

5362436766 Sortable item table, Size in its own column, Subscribed as an icon
- Every column heading sorts (kept, title, feed, file type, size,
published); a second click reverses it. The server sorts through a
fixed whitelist (order_sql), so it covers the whole list, not the
fifty loaded; the choice is remembered in the browser.
- Size is its own column and shows KB for small files instead of
"0 MB". The Item heading is Title.
- Popular/Directory/Add feed: Subscribed is a green circle-check.
- Tests: every sort column runs and orders both ways (db); the table
sorts by title both ways and remembers across a reload (browser).

0efc49519c One icon per meaning across the UI; mark everything read in All Subscriptions
- All Subscriptions' header checks every feed and marks everything read
(POST /api/read-all, the same feeds the view lists); it asks first.
- Minus unsubscribes everywhere (the feed header's x read as "close"),
x only closes or cancels, plus adds/subscribes/imports, and a dialog's
confirm carries its action's icon. Remaining word buttons, the player
and the folder arrow are Font Awesome 7.3.1 icons.
- Toolbar grouped by what it acts on (add, unsubscribe, scan | play,
read, keep); read and keep show the selected item's state.
- The OPML subscription page uses the same header as a feed.
- Fixed: Escape ignored inside a dialog's text box (Add feed could not
be closed with it), white password box in the dark theme, stray dot
  in an undated item's details.
- Tests: one action one icon across toolbar, page and all 8 dialogs;
  All Subscriptions mark everything read.

df9b7645d6 The original iPodderX layout: toolbar, places, item table, Files pane
- A toolbar across the window with the original's groups: add and
unsubscribe, play, mark read and keep for the selected item, scan, a
search box for what is showing, and Settings and Log (admins only).
- Directory, Popular and All Subscriptions sit at the top of the feed
list and open in the main pane; the Popular and Directory buttons and
  their dialogs are gone.
- All Subscriptions lists every item from every feed you subscribe to:
GET /api/entries, the per-feed query with its scope widened. The
enclosure lookup after it matches files to rows by feed and guid, since
a page can now span feeds.
- Items are a table (unread, kept, item, feed, file, published) with a
Files pane beside it, the text below, and a status bar with totals. On
a phone the files follow the text and the table is title and date.
- Tests: enclosures are checked in #files; the toolbar's read, keep and
play act on the selected item; All Subscriptions holds only your feeds.

f3825cfc57 Popular is a top 10; a Directory lists every listed feed A to Z
- GET /api/popular returns the ten most subscribed feeds. The new GET
/api/directory returns every feed that may be listed, sorted by name,
from the same list: everyone counted, you included, never a URL, never
a private feed or a feed inside an OPML. POST /api/popular/{id} still
  subscribes to anything on it.
- A Directory button sits beside Popular; both open the same list
screen. The sidebar toolbar wraps rather than squeezing four buttons.
- Tests: the directory is A to Z, Popular is its top ten, Paid Show is
in neither, and subscribing works from the directory.

c0f4b0bcb2 Popular button in the sidebar; the popular list counts everyone
- A Popular button beside + Feed opens the popular list directly; the
Add feed dialog keeps it too.
- The list counts every subscriber, you included. Your own feeds stay on
it, marked Subscribed, and clicking one opens it. Private feeds and
feeds inside an OPML are still never listed, for anyone.
- GET /api/popular rows carry `subscribed`.

8b8b48302b Popular on this server; changelog follows Keep a Changelog; 0.3.0
- Add feed lists what other accounts subscribe to, most subscribers
first, and subscribes you by id (GET /api/popular, POST
/api/popular/{id}). Rows never carry a URL. Feeds from an OPML and
anything that looks private (a login, credentials in the URL, a key
such as auth= or token=) are never listed, and the subscribe route
checks the id against the same list.
- CHANGELOG.md follows Keep a Changelog 1.1.0: 0.1.0 (2026-09-09, the
CLI), 0.2.0 (2026-09-10, the web UI), 0.3.0 (2026-09-11, accounts and
sharing). The long-form entries moved unchanged to docs/history.md.
- Cargo.toml is 0.3.0. CLAUDE.md says how to add an entry and cut a
  release.

8784d0a3fd OPML import subscribes you; export lists only your feeds
Import predated accounts: it only added URLs missing from config.toml
and subscribed nobody. Importing another account's export did nothing
("Imported 0 feed(s)"), and a genuinely new feed had no subscriber, so
it was never scanned. Web and CLI import now share subscribe_opml,
which subscribes the caller (the CLI: the first admin) to every feed in
the file and reports new vs already-subscribed.

Export wrote the whole catalogue to anyone signed in, including other
people's private feed URLs. It now lists only your own subscriptions.

5e95557cbb User admin in the web UI, admin-only log, unread-first OPML feeds
- Settings > Manage users: add an account (password, or none for proxy
sign-in), toggle admin, remove. Backed by GET/POST /api/users and
  PATCH/DELETE /api/users/{id}, 403 for non-admins. The only admin
  cannot be demoted or removed.
- GET /api/logs is admin-only and the Log button is hidden for others;
the log names every account, feed and failed sign-in.
- Feeds inside an OPML list those with unread items first, in the
sidebar folder and on the subscription's page.
- Deploying is now buildx --push to 192.168.1.130:5000 and recreating
the ipodderx service of the Arcane project content; CLAUDE.md and the
  README's Docker section say so.
- Tests: Playwright for user admin, the last-admin guard, 403s for a
non-admin and the unread ordering (new Aardvark Radio fixture); a unit
test for last_admin; the smoke test drives usersModal.

6114add4a6 Documentation: docs/, a changelog, and CLAUDE.md
PROGRESS.md becomes CHANGELOG.md with the finished step lists moved to an
appendix. The README is an overview pointing at docs/: configuration,
cli, users, sso (refreshed for accounts and admin-only settings), and
architecture. CLAUDE.md collects what working on this code actually
requires -- pkill -x not -f, the page being compiled in, the dead columns
on entries, the Playwright worker that deleted its own database.
