Signals are rows under the places (#254), so a long list pushes the feeds down. They go in a Signals folder at the top of the feed list instead, closed or open as an OPML is, with New signal inside it, and the folder's page lists them as an OPML's lists its feeds.

Prototype on the signals-folder branch, for approval before it goes to main.

Before (live now): each Signal is a row under the places, then a New signal row, above the feeds.

After: a Signals folder in the feed list, closed or open as an OPML or a Patreon creator is.

Modern, the folder's own page, listing the Signals as an OPML's page lists its feeds, with New signal as its button:

Decisions that are yours:

  1. Place: under the pinned feeds, above the rest. Pinned first because you put them there.
  2. Shown with no Signals yet: the folder is always there, saying "What matters, out of the noise", so the feature can be found.
  3. Tiles: a Signal has initials like a feed without art; the folder has the signal icon on the accent tint. No theme colours change.
  4. Closed by default, remembered per browser like an OPML's.

Merged as 0fdd609 and deployed to ipx-web: Signals are a folder under the pinned feeds, closed by default, with New signal inside and a page of their own.
