Brad & Will Made a Tech Pod has DeadAir on, and 359: Potatoes From the Sky is downloaded, but no copy was made and the list shows no "shorter". The episode is marked read with its position at 0: it was opened, not played.

The copy maker skips an episode everyone who would hear the copy has finished, and took "finished" to be the read mark (Db::readers). Opening an item marks it read as well, so every episode opened before playing it was passed over. Finished should be what Currently Listening already uses: a position at 90% or more of the length. Found from a report on the live site, 2026-10-09.

Fixed in 845448a: finished is now a place at 90% of the length or past it, not the read mark. Deployed; 359 was then picked up, and failed on #174.
