Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Found in a production check on 2026-10-06. daily-quests (http://daily-quests.com/comic/?feed=atom, one subscriber) now fails with 'dns error: ... Name or service not known': the name no longer exists, after answering 503 earlier in the week and an empty 200 from a DNS filter's block page (#119). hots-dots (http://www.hotsdots.com/feed/) answers with nothing at all, its domain on NameBright's coming-soon page. Neither has ever stored an item in iPX.
They will not come back by themselves. A feed nobody subscribes to is removed after 30 days dead (#107); daily-quests has a subscriber, so it stays until they unsubscribe or someone finds the comic's new address. 11 failures between them in 7 days: {container="iPX"} |= ""ev":"feed_error"" |~ "daily-quests|hots-dots".
Closing: nothing for iPX to do. Each of these feeds has a subscriber, and removing a feed someone subscribes to is never automatic (clean_directory only takes feeds nobody subscribes to: stale_unsubscribed). The feed shows as failing in their list, with the reason; unsubscribing is theirs to decide.
