Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Adding a website's address looks for the feed its page links (feed_behind_page). When the page links none, the address is added as it is, and every check then fails because it is a web page, not a feed. The sidebar then says 'The feed moved; this address now shows a web page', which is wrong for a site that never had a feed at that address. Example: cnn.com, whose page links no feed (CNN's RSS stopped in April 2023). Wanted: refuse the add with 'This page links no feed' when the address is a web page with no feed link, rather than subscribing to it. Found 2026-09-29 fixing #101.
Fixed in
79bc006: adding checks the address first. A feed or OPML list is added as it is; a web page adds the feed it links, if that is a feed; anything else is refused with the reason (web page: a 400 and the dialog stays open; ipx add: an error), and nothing is added. cnn.com is now refused as a web page that links no feed. Deployed.
