Found reviewing what production's traces and metrics leave out, 2026-10-25. ipx-directory serves process metrics only; its requests, refresher rounds, failed checks and snapshots are read from its log by the dashboard. Wanted: a request histogram as ipx has (#364) and counters of feeds checked, checks failed and snapshots taken.

Fixed in dd91602: directory_http_request_duration_seconds{method,route,status} (a route layer gives the matched route), directory_feed_checks_total, directory_feed_checks_failed_total, directory_snapshots_total. Deployed 2026-10-25.
