Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Asked 2026-10-15: a weekly sync with Apple Podcasts. Two parts. (1) Apple's top charts (overall and each category, for a country) into the Directory, each show's RSS address from Apple's lookup API, as a snapshot of their own with no subscribers, so the Directory offers popular podcasts nobody here has yet, without changing the most-subscribed chart. (2) Apple's category list checked against the copy in crates/feed (CATEGORIES, #117/#118), a warning when Apple's changes, for the prod check to file. Apple's endpoints checked 2026-10-15: itunes.apple.com/{cc}/rss/toppodcasts/limit=N[/genre=ID]/json, itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=..., itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStoreServices.woa/ws/genres?id=26 (19 categories, identical to ours today).
Done in
cd7a9b8, deployed in ipx-directory 1.1.2-dev with apple_country = "ca". First sync 2026-10-16 13:26 UTC: 950 shows from Apple's charts (top 100 and top 50 of each of 19 categories), 942 accepted as the apple-podcasts snapshot, 1 refused as private-looking; Apple's categories matched ipx's, no warning. Twenty minutes on, the Directory lists 1,877 feeds (1,471 before) as the refresher reads Apple's in, with 3 failed checks. Weekly from here, an hour's retry after a failure; logged as 'Apple Podcasts synced', traced as apple_sync.
