With DeadAir on for a show, a new download plays at its full length until its copy is made, and nothing says so: there is no way to tell whether to wait. The episode's line and its details should say DeadAir is still working on it, and change to how much shorter it is when the copy is ready, without a reload. Asked for on 2026-10-09.

Done in d6c0e3e and deployed: an episode DeadAir is still working on says "Cutting dead air…" in its line and its details; a deadair_done event when the copy is made turns it into how much shorter it is, without a reload. The browser test waits for that change with no reload.
