Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
A feed whose address answers with a permanent redirect (301, 308) is read through the redirect on every check, and the catalogue keeps the old address. On 2026-10-02, 28 of 147 catalogue feeds redirected permanently: most http to https (slashdot, xkcd, the-verge, schneier-on-security, macstories...), some to a new path, and some publishers moved domain (dwarkesh-podcast to dwarkesh.com, lcamtuf-s-thing to blog.coredump.cx, mahad-kalam to mahadk.com). Wanted: when every hop is permanent, update the feed's address; a temporary redirect (302, 307) changes nothing.
Fixed in
f7f4b46ande7c5948(the feed_moved event). In production, 27 of the 28 feeds that redirected permanently moved within an hour of the deploy (2026-10-02 20:07-21:00), the later ones logged as feed_moved; the 28th, propublica, is listed with no subscribers and checked daily, so it moves on its next check. No temporary redirects; toddstashwick's loop moved nothing.
