native.ts already carries the branch for it: the page looks for window.ipxAndroid.postMessage and speaks the same protocol it speaks to iOS, so the half that lives in the page is done and deployed.

The shape is the same as the iOS app and the README says so: a WebView for the page, Media3 MediaLibraryService and ExoPlayer for the audio, automotive_app_desc.xml for Android Auto. The API client, the event stream and the filter names are all documented by the Swift, and none of the server work needs repeating.

Android Auto needs no approval, which is the part iOS is stuck on: sideload the app and turn on unknown sources in Android Auto's developer settings. So a car can be driven from an Android phone before it can from this iPhone.
